SAN ANTONIO — Today, the San Antonio Police Officers’ Association (SAPOA)held a press conference endorsing Rolando Pablos to serve as San Antonio’s next mayor, underscoring the deep and fundamental commitment Pablos has demonstrated in supporting local law enforcement’s mission to keep San Antonians safe.

In announcing the endorsement during today’s press conference, SAPOA President Danny Diaz said:

“His track record of effective leadership, shared commitment to public safety, and open collaboration reflects our shared priorites to ensure San Antonio is led with real results — and not just promises.

“If you support law enforcement and a safer community, we encourage you to vote for our endorsed candidates on June 7th.”

Following SAPOA’s endorsement, Pablos provided the following remarks affirming his strong commitment to supporting law enforcement in San Antonio:

“We will never defund police. As a matter of fact, police and fire are off limits when it comes to budgeting. I want to work with everybody out here, I will have a seat at the table when it comes to negotiating the contract, I will support our men and women in blue.

“Law enforcement is a top priority for our city, and I will be there for everybody.”
