A strong economy is the foundation of a thriving community. But like so many San Antonians, I’m fed up with San Antonio losing out to Austin, Dallas and Houston in attracting big companies with competitive salaries. And when those companies go elsewhere, our kids and grandkids follow those jobs.
I have deep experience in economic development, far more than any of the other candidates running for mayor.As Texas Secretary of State, my number one job was to bring more world-class companies to Texas, and I am ready and excited to do the same for San Antonio.
I look forward to leveraging my strong contacts and deep relationships with large corporate leaders throughout the U.S. and internationally to bring more economic growth opportunity to San Antonio.
Furthermore, I will work to cut bureaucratic red tape, attract good jobs, support small business owners, and invest in workforce development so that all San Antonio families can have the opportunity to benefit from a stronger local economy.
